Releases the Exterior and Dispels Cold
Ascending and dispersing in nature Qiang Huo strongly functions to release the exterior by dispelling cold and dampness in the channels. It is best for occipital headache or pain associated with feelings of heaviness, sleepiness or the lack of desire to move, all of which may be caused by dampness.
  • Exterior wind-cold syndrome with aversion to cold, fever, headache and muscle aches
  • Occipital headache from wind-cold without perspiration
  • Heavy-headed sensations
  • Red eyes from wind-heat attacking the head

Eliminates Wind, Cold and Dampness to Relieve Pain
Bi Zheng (Painful obstruction syndrome, arthritis) due to wind, cold and dampness. Exterior pathogens obstruct the normal circulation of qi and blood leading to pain and spasms of the affected area. It is most effective int he upper body.
  • Muscle aches and joint pain caused by wind, cold and dampness
  • Arthritis of the upper body or limbs
  • Wind-damp headache
  • General arthritis

Typical Usage of Concentrated Extracts
1/2 to 2 grams per day or as directed by your health practitioner.

Cautions and Contraindications
  • Qiang is contraindicated for people having febrile disorders, yin deficiency or muscle aches and pains caused by blood deficiency
  • It is also contraindicated for patients with bi zheng along with red tongue and little or no tongue coating

Overdose may injure the Stomach and cause nausea and vomiting. This may be alleviated by decreasing the dosage or taking it with herbs that harmonize the Stomach such as Red Date or Ginger.
