Such a mat will be made from Permatron® material, which has a smooth finish. The Permatron® is resistant to ultraviolet rays, doesn't break down as do other fabrics, and allows no moisture absorption. Tapered coils help to give extended wearability to such springs. (Untapered coils allow low-quality springs to break frequently, requiring replacement.) The large size tramps do not compare to our smaller size. Most people will look at the big trampoline and say I'm getting more benefit because I'm getting more G-force and more height. This is rarely a benefit to the average person. Height doesn't translate into anything other than the thrill of flying. G-force is entirely dependent on the strength of the spring and how heavily it is loaded at the bottom of the bounce. Some longer tramp springs don't generate any more G-force than a rebounder spring does. And of course the G-force is only important if you are doing strengthening....you get plenty of that from a rebounder.
The biggest issue is frequency of bounce. Each bounce or cycle moves lymphatic fluid. The optimum frequency is 100-110 bounces per minute which turns the lymph system over 1 time in a 2 minute healthbounce. As you can quickly see, the large scale tramp has a much longer travel (due to the 14-16 foot surface) and greatly reduces the bounces per minute. In some instances it may not be enough to actually open the one-way valves of the lymph system. Anyone using a rebounder can count their bounces per minute and they will find on a Needak they fall in the optimum. The range is dependent on a person's weight. Someone around 100 pounds will hit the 110/minute. Someone over 250 will be closer to 100/minute.
