Combined shaoyang and yangming stage illness with alternating fever and chills, costal or epigastric distension, nausea and vomiting, constipation and irritability. Acute gastroenteritis, gastrointestinal flu, acute cholecystis or pancreatitis, hepatitis, fever stage of malaria. Gallbladder heat syndromes causing red eye, migraine headache or manic behavior.

Cautions & Contraindications:
Contraindicated for very weak or deficient patients. Contraindicated during pregnancy and menstruation. Use with caution in breast-feeding women as Da huang/rhubarb can pass through the breast milk causing colic and diarrhea in infants. May cause mild abdominal cramping and/or diarrhea in sensitive patients. Not recommended for long term use.
