Chrysanthemum Flower dispels wind heat syndromes characterized by headache, fever, red painful eyes, dizziness, dry mouth and throat and a yellow tongue coating. Chrysanthemum Flower also clears the Liver and benefits the Eyes where there is wind heat attacking the Liver channel or Liver fire rising with symptoms such as redness, swelling and pain in the eyes, superficial visual obstruction and increased production of tears upon wind exposure. It treats blurred vision and dizziness as a result of Liver and Kidney Yin deficiency.
Chrysanthemum Flower is also used in China to calm Liver Yang and treat Rising Liver Yang. Common applications are hypertension, dizziness, vertigo, swelling and pain in the head.
Chrysanthemum Flower also clears heat and eliminates toxins from the exterior of the body to help treat dermatological disorders with abscess and ulcerations such as sores and carbuncles.
Cautions & Contraindications
- Chrysanthemum Flower is contraindicated in yang deficiency or deficiency and cold.
